Where did the last 6 months go?!

I can’t believe I’ve been so bad as to not blog or post any new photos in the last six months.  So much has changed with the Finke Family since I last posted.  Among the highlights: we sold the pad in Elmhurst, IL and bought a new home in Englewood, CO; Sydney learned to crawl, walk, dance, and eat solid foods and celebrated her first birthday!; Benjamin got a new big boy bedroom set, took up soccer, and gave up the Nuk; cousin Peyton was born; and much more.  2008 has been a roller coaster ride for us, but we wouldn’t change a thing about it.

May and June 2008

Now that the stress of selling the condo is over with, we can finally focus again on posting photos.  A lot has happened since Mother’s day in the Finke family – almost all of which has been good – and you can really tell from the pictures.  Ben is now potty-trained, we sold the condo, and Sydney is sleeping consistently through the night, to name a few things.  Among the fun you’ll see in these photos is a recent visit we had with the Eckers, a trip to the Perfect Landing restaurant, and a wonderful Father’s day celebration with both families.  We hope you enjoy the pix!

Benjamin cracking up Sydney

Here is some classic footage of Benjamin making his baby sis, Sydney, laugh.  Just before bedtime last night, Benjamin busted out a toy he received at a birthday party, and Sydney couldn’t get enough of it.  It’s sure to bring a smile to your face!

Extra!  Extra!  Sydney recently starting sitting up on her own, and she’s loving life with the new point-of-view (who wouldn’t like sitting up vs. spending their life on their back? ).  We also captured some nice photos of mommy and Sydney.  We hope you enjoy!

April 2008 Fun

We captured some fun new photos of Benjamin and Sydney hanging out together as well as Benjamin playing in the early spring.  We continue to be impressed with how gentle Benjamin is with his baby sis.  Oy, such the nice big brother!

Sydney just started eating solids this week, and boy is she doing well.  We hope you’ll enjoy watching this video of her going to town on rice cereal and sweet potatoes.   We also introduced her to applesauce today (not pictured).
